Red Oval Accent Table
It is supposed to look distressed....
We recently purchased this table from our local Kirklands. It is being used as an accent piece. The distressed look of it isn't great, but it is not terrible. The top of the table has 5 "distressed" marks on it, but they look more like someone used a marker and drew 5 lines. We compared the one we picked to all of the others they had out and the marks are all the same - so it is clearly SUPPOSED to look that way. For what we are using the table for, and how much of it is exposed in our home, its a perfect fit.
As I read through the few reviews - I'm a little surprised. Why, if you saw the table had the marks/scratches on it, did you buy it and then write a review to complain about it? Doesn't make sense to me, but maybe I'm missing something.
For anyone thinking of purchasing - this is definitely one of those items you need to see in person and make a decision on whether or not it is right for you. We like it a lot, because most of the top is not exposed #we have something sitting on it#.

Bought this table last weekend and easy to assembly. Only issue was areas were not painted and some scratches but overall a nice table

This would have been a perfect side table for my couch. Perfect size, perfect color. The red is a nice barn red. Unfortunately, the attempts to give this item a distressed look has completely ruined it. The legs look ok with a few nicks here and there, but the table top has 5 black marks. Not gauges or worn spots, literal black marks about a half inch long each. It looks like someone took a marker to it. It looks ridiculous. And after spending $60.00 on it, trying to fix it isn't appealing.
