The Viking Cast Aluminum Nonstick 8.6 Qt. Roaster features heavy-gauge cast aluminum construction and a 3-layer titanium reinforced nonstick surface for exceptional release and quick cleanup. While this roaster comfortably accommodates a 15 – 16 lb. turkey, this is a roaster that won’t be relegated to your cupboard the other 11 months out of the year. Durably built for a lifetime of use, the Viking Die Cast Roaster can be used as a large Dutch oven or even stock pot for making soups and stocks. The design is perfect for braising roasts and meats that need longer cooking times over low heat to make them tender and delicious. The glass basting lid allows you to see the progress of your meal while at the same time adding moisture without having to lift the lid and let the heat escape. The glass lid features a basting knob that will drip in wine, butter, or any other liquid flavoring you want to add to the cooking process. What makes this pan even more exciting is the multi-purpose functionality. The aluminum roaster lid can be used as a casserole in the oven or sauté pan on the stove in addition to working as a roasting lid in a preheated oven to 500°F (glass lid to 425°F).
