Scarlett Johnston grew up in a small town in south Mississippi. She spent many summers in the country with her grandparents shelling peas, shucking corn and singing in the church choir. From a very early age, the quiet beauty of countryside settings and wildflowers blooming in the woodland landscapes captured her imagination. Scarlett’s love for the arts was generationally influenced. Her father is a writer and artist. Her mother is a singer and musician. Scarlett’s artistic expression is derived from her travel, life experiences and love of creation. She finds great joy in painting, gardening, cooking, singing and being a mom.
