3 Easy Patriotic Recipes for the 4th Of July

The Fourth of July is right around the corner! If you’re still looking for quick and easy recipes for your celebration, we have just the right ingredients for you.

Today’s blog features three of our favorite patriotic recipes that everyone will enjoy. Did we mention that they were easy to make? Happy Fourth, ya’ll!

Mixed Berry Wine Spritzer

1 bottle of Chardonnay

3 cups of club soda

1/2 c. fresh blackberries

1/2 c. fresh raspberries

1 handful of mint leaves

Ice cubes

Place everything into a large pitcher, stir with a spoon, pour into glasses and enjoy!

Fruit Kabobs

1 pint strawberries

1 pint blueberries

1 bundle of bananas

Lemon juice

Skewers

1. Slice and soak your bananas in lemon juice in order to prevent browning.

2. Slice strawberries in preparation (no need for lemon juice on these).

3. For the first 5 or so skewers, line blueberries at the top (about 5 each) and then alternate between banana and strawberry slices.

4. Continue with alternating banana and strawberry slices until all skewers are full and your design resembles a flag.

5. Display on serving dish or platter.

Chili Lime Watermelon Fries

For fries:

1 small watermelon, cut into small “fries”

Zest of 1 lime

1 tsp. chili powder

A pinch of flaky salt

For the yogurt dipping sauce:

1 c. of Greek yogurt

2 tbs. fresh lime juice

4 tbs. honey

1/2 tsp. vanilla

A pinch of chili powder

Lime zest

1. In a medium bowl, combine watermelon, lime zest, chili powder and salt. Toss to combine.

2. In a small bowl, whisk together yogurt, lime juice, honey and vanilla. Top with a pinch of chili powder and lime zest. Serve fresh in a chip and dip server.
