Honey Walnut and Goat Cheese Crostinis

Tasty hors d’oeuvres are a serious staple at both small get-togethers and large parties. From chips and salsa with friends to tartare and deviled eggs for a more formal occasion, delicious, snack-sized bites are always in style.

While we’re not sure what your next fall gathering looks like, we have a simple crostini recipe that’s perfect for a few people and impressive enough to serve up at a fancy party for the entire neighborhood. Goat cheese, walnuts, pomegranate and honey combine on French bread baguette to form one-bite slices of fall flavors.

Ingredients:

  • 1 french bread baguette

  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 cup chopped and toasted walnuts

  • 8 oz fresh herbed goat cheese

  • ½ cup pomegranate arils

  • ½ cup honey



 

Steps:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Slice baguette into 1/2 inch slices.

Arrange on a large baking sheet. Brush the top and bottom of each slice with olive oil. Toast in the oven for 15-20 minutes.

Once toasted, spread a thin layer of goat cheese, then top with walnuts and pomegranates.
