Beautiful! I LOVE these canisters, they add a very nice touch to my kitchen counter. at first they do seem a bit huge but then you get over it, I did. the only thing is that the lids (2 out of 3) do not stay properly closed, they keep "popping" up open. I read another customers review and it seems she had the same problem, other reviews don't mention it... oh well, other than that I really do love them.. overall its a great buy! April 13, 2014
Beautiful canisters These canisters are much bigger than I expected for the price! They are a great value and very pretty. I agree with the other commenters that the lids pop up, so I would recommend them for decorative purposes (pasta, beans, etc.) and not food that needs to be properly sealed. April 9, 2014
they are beautiful I have been looking for canisters to organize my rice, sugar, and flour. The canisters set were the perfect sizes for my stuff. The price were reasonable and I love the way it looks. Friends and family gives me compliment on them every time they come by. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend. April 4, 2014
Elegant Fell in love with them and they have held up very well=) Buy them you will be glad you did. Color is fabulous and they look so elegant sitting in my kitchen too. Manager in North Little Rock store was rude and wouldn't let me use my coupon I get on my cell right after Christmas so now I shop online. April 2, 2014
very cute but hard to keep lids on I really like these cannisters. They match the decor of my kitchen perfectly. My only complaint is the difficulty in getting a good "seal" on the lids and them staying closed. The plastic rim pushes the lid up sometimes, so I am frequently checking to make sure they're closed. March 17, 2014
Poor quality of lids Love the look and style of these canisters. Waited a long time for them to be available again. Bought the first set, took them back because the lids kept popping up, thougt they were defective..exchanged them and guess what? The lids keep popping up!! I think its due to the plastic around the bottom of the lid, it's very cheaply made. Will be taking them back for a refund. March 11, 2014
Interesting Lid Seal Finally got a set of these on-line, they have been out of stock forever, and scarce in the stores. I see they are out of stock again on line. Well, my small container has a hairline crack in it, but I'm not returning them due to the shipping costs, they are heavy. The FedEx box was damaged upon delivery, enough to where I took pictures. I guess the FRAGILE sticker on the box doesn't phase FedEx any. I don't believe the crack was due to how the items were wrapped, Kirkland's always does a great job protecting the products. I think it cracked when it was made, but I can't be sure. Poor quality control is my guess. Now it's my problem. The larger two canisters were fine, minus again, poor quality control. The thing that is bothersome, is the plastic over the lids to create the freshness seal. Seriously, I've never seen such chinzy manufacturing. The plastic doesn't form to the lid at the bottom, it is left sticking out, and it makes the lids pop off unless you get the lids on just right, tight and twist them just a bit. Crazy! They are cute canisters! I didn't find the smell in the plastic that I read was a problem in some of the other reviews, so maybe that issue has been corrected. When you wash the lids, the water does get under the plastic, so rather than risk a mold problem, I removed the plastic to dry the lids completely before first use, and they do go right back on because there is a groove that they snap onto. At first I wasn't sure if I could remove them. And removing them isn't what causes the lids to pop off the bottom section, because I haven't washed my other two canisters yet, and they pop off just the same. It's not something to return the set for, just poor and cheap design. Never seen such a thing. They are stylish for sure, and look awesome on my counter, and they are big! So be sure to measure first. March 1, 2014
You will LOVE these! I just love my canisters! They look quite lovely sitting on my counter and they keep everything really fresh. February 25, 2014

Answer:
I just got my set and there was no smell. I just submitted a review. I didn't like how they did the plastic on the lids, they don't look finished, the plastic kind of sticks out. It's hard to keep the lids on, they pop off if they aren't put on just right. Poor design, looks cheap. Were yours that way also?

Answer:
Yes, but it's a weird design. Not good quality, the plastic at the bottom does not adhere to the lid (sticks out). Never seen canister lids made in this way. You can remove the plastic to wash and dry them, as the water gets under the plastic seal. You can put the plastic back on after they are dry, there is a groove they pop in to.
