Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent, versatile accent piece I have 15 of the silver, and 4 (so far) of the gold, that I love to use as centerpiece accents to the main larger centerpieces for my events. I have used these both with a dressier, more formal looking affair, and also used the silver ones to reflect galvanized looks for more rustic events. People just love the sparkle pattern they cast on the table when they are the stand alone item, too.

On both my computers, it appears there is a black vertical line going down the central large acrylic jewel.

Could you tell me why it's there and what purpose it serves?

Thanks in advance,

Kathleen

Answer:
I have almost 20 of these lanterns, both in silver and gold. I don't see the black line "live and in person", when they are in use, or with a candle illuminating the jewel.

Answer:
No black vertical line, it is a silver wire holding the "jewels' in place. Does not detract from the lantern at all. Pretty soft gold/champagne color. Appears well made.

Answer:
I am not sure what the black line is but there is a thin wire connecting the jewels. My lantern does not have this black line but I can see the thin wire at closeup. when I lit up the lantern you do not see the wire.

Answer:
They are the wires that hold the jewels in. They do not detract from the beauty of the lanterns but they are in all the crystals.

Additional question

The black vertical lines appear to run down the middle of all the acrylic jewels on all the jewels.

I guess I need to know what those line are.

Thanks again!

Answer:
Hi katnnh,

There is a wire that is holding the jewel in its place. The way that it works is comparable to the way a bead on a string is kept in place. We hope this is helpful!

Answer:
It's not a black line, it is silver wire that the manufacture used to hold the "jewels" in place. Each "jewel" has the wire running down the center back or center . Honestly it does not detract from the look of the lantern. The lantern is a soft gold/ champagne color, appears to be well made even with the silver wire.

Answer:
You're probably seeing the tiny wires that are all over the lantern holding the plastic crystal jewels into place.
