Too shiny The heavy lacquer on this plaque set creates a very shiny appearance. Online it looks beautiful, but I noticed how shiny it was immediately upon opening the box. Rustic, old- world architectural pieces tend not to be shiny, so this plaque set lacks an authentic feel. April 21, 2013

A great, unusual piece... I was looking for something unusual and of a certain style and this was exactly what I had in mind. I will say that the color pictured seems a much lighter blue color than the actual item. But, it is a lovely piece and I get a lot of compliments on it. November 1, 2012
