Just a few flowers and it brightens to whole area wonderfully. I posted two pics so you can see it at an angle with a canvas painting I also got at Kirklands! Love them!

Right now bright flowers are in the bottles but I'm thinking how adorable fall berries, and twigs will look. Then berries, and pine sprigs for winter. Cotton stems for a farmhouse kitchen, oh my goodness the possibilities are endless!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Versatile Completely changed my kitchen. This unique piece is very versatile you can use it as is, just the way it is or you can dress it up. The box has a variety of white flowers, which is super cute. I copied the same idea, but in orange for the fall. This piece can be used throughout the year, for every season and every holiday. It has a nice rustic look to it that really adds character to the area or room you put it in. The price is reasonable and the glass bottles come in various sizes- so it's not boring! The only thing I wish was different was the crate, I wish the crate was a little more heavier. It's durable enough to hold the 11 bottles, it's just so light - I worry about maybe transporting it from a counter to a table with those bottles being filled with water, pebbles, rocks, etc... But all in all it is a unique piece!

What is the weight on this item? I want to set it on a shelf but I'm concerned it might be too heavy.

It is on the heavy side. I personally would not put it on a shelf unless I knew that shelf was very securely bolted on the wall.

Can the bottles be washed in a dishwasher?

They probably can be washed in the dishwasher, but you may prefer to wash using a bottle brush because the neck of the bottles is narrow.
