Scrolled Metal Medallion Plaque is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picture doesn't do it justice I was looking for a ceiling medallion for my dining room and got the idea from my son to use a metal wall decoration plaque. I was also looking for a decorative wrought iron insert for a 45" x 61" bathroom window. I had priced the faux wood medallions and inserts that are made to look like wrought iron but I couldn't believe the price "$$$$"! Being a Kirklands fan, I decided to see if they had anything I could use. I couldn't believe it when I found this metal medallion plaque. It is the perfect size and exactly what I am looking for. I will look great in the window. My husband is going frame out the top and bottom to make it fit the 45" height that I need but for $79 #on sale# and a little crafty work I couldn't have found a more beautiful wrought iron window insert.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful artistry I purchased this with the impression that the metal work was wrought iron, my mistake was not asking and just basing it on online pictures. Regardless, the workmanship was excellent, loved the design, dimension and the price. I finally found the artwork to fill a space that had been a big question mark and it looks great, albeit a biased opinion on my part. I love it and it works with the post modern design of my family room and highly recommend this as a great buy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from shipping and delivery issues Product is gorgeous. Online purchase only. Very unhappy you don't ship to home, only to nearest store due to its "fragility". What's the difference? This item will not fit in a standard car. Then, I had to find a person with a truck to pick it up, only to find it was given to him unboxed, without any protection!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lightweight and shabby We bought this to put outside for a plant trellis. We expect it to rust. It is already cheap looking and shabby so then it will be "shabby chic". I could never imagine putting it on the wall in my home but it should work outside covered with vines to hide an electrical box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE! This piece is beautiful..the picture doesn't do it justice at all. It is very heavy and I would think it would be much more expensive than it is. I have it hung vertically on the back wall of my powder bathroom…it is stunning!

I would like to use this plaque outside mounted on a brick wall which faces southwest. Will it stand up to the weather? How does it mount?

Asked by: Anonymous
I think it would. I have another plaque that I got from Kirkland's that I put above my front door outside. It is fine. It has pre-drilled holes in the back.

How much does this item weigh?

Asked by: Anonymous
I can't give you the exact weight but it is what I would consider for a wall hanging rather heavy...maybe 35 lbs a little more or less. It is heavy so make sure you secure it on your wall if you plan to hang.

How are hard is this to hang?

Asked by: Anonymous
Not hard at all. I recommend utilizing 2 Monkey or Gorilla hooks with a weight capacity of 50lbs. A box of about 6 can be purchased at Home Depot for less than $5.

Is this item suitable for outdoors under a covered patio?

Desired location will be protected from rain and will only see sun for about 1 hour each day . It will be exposed to humidity due to Southern Louisiana (Baton Rouge) weather conditions. Also, what type of metal (i.e. iron, aluminum, carbon steel, stainless steel, etc.) are the scrolls made of?
Asked by: Anonymous
Not a metal expert so I can't say what the metal is but because it is all metal it should do well outside undercover. This is an all metal wall hanging. The Louisiana sun is hot but having moved from TX to AZ (where the sun is intense) I would say that it should also be okay in the type of sun you all have for a couple hours a day. Not sure if in time it will rust with all the humidity but its nothing that a can of rustoleum can't fix...the rusted look is big in AZ so if it were to rust here it wouldn't be a problem.
