Absolutely love the style and quality (the little pull chain is what drew me to it originally). A 25 watt bulb is all it needs and casts enough light so that, after dinner prep, nobody uses the overhead lights anymore! I leave the lamp on all night for the middle of the night glass of water (or refrigerator raid), this lamp is a bargain! Buy one! Buy TWO! February 25, 2014

The shade is burlap...will go with lots of decor. I put it in a bathroom where I have a bit of a beachy theme going for the summer months and it goes well. I have bought many lamps from Kirklands, and they have the best lamps for the money. I have not been disappointed yet! May 15, 2013
