Elegant and beautiful clock! WORTH EVERY DOLLAR SPENT!! I saw this clock on-line and hoped to see it in person before spending the $100 for it. Yes, it has a flat base but it's not very wide. I think it would prop up well on a fireplace mantel. Stunning clock!
