Is the metal a her for the canisters or are they connected?

No The canisters sit in them like a tray which makes it easier to clean.

Are a lot of people using these just for decoration or putting something in them?

Asked by: Anonymous
I use them to store coffee, sugar packets and oatmeal.

Are these dishwasher safe?

I would assume they are since they are ceramic but wanted to double check before I put them in the dishwasher. Thank you
Asked by: Anonymous
I have looked on the box and on the bottom of the canisters. It doesn't say either way.
