hanging vertically?

the hanging hooks appear offset so that I would have to reposition them to hang the mirror vertically...am I supposed to have to move the hooks?

My husband and I never use what the store has put on the back to hang our pictures around our house. My husband always uses the heavy duty hooks that we get from Lowe's and he hangs it with those they're so much more reliable and we don't have to worry about pictures falling. My husband is a bit overkill though so when he hangs something it's going to be hard to get it back down.
