Very pretty! This mat is really pretty. I'm just not super happy with the quality, but the price was great. So you can't complain. The bronze fancy boarder is rubber and the cutout isn't all that precise, so you see a little extra rubber where it's not supposed to be. The part where you wipe your feet gets a little fuzzy after a couple months as well. Other than those minor quality issues, it's great for the price! February 5, 2013

The border is .35? thick, and the inner coir itself is .5? thick. In the center of the mat, the height is .85?.

Answer: 
The bronze rubber boarder is about .75" thick. The mat itself is probably 1.25". Just an educated guess.
