Must Have! We absolutely love this ottoman in our living room. Its such an essential piece and we get so many compliments on it. Not only does it look beautiful but it adds such comfort when your sitting on the couch. The best part is the storage! We store our sons books and toys in it so its a quick way to hide toys when friends and family are stopping by. It is everything I wanted it to be! I needed extra storage, seating, and a coffee table for a small family room. This ottoman is very good looking, sturdy, and comfortable. We use it daily for storage and a foot rest. When we have guests, depending on how many, we use it for extra seating. When we need it to be a coffee table, we put a tray on it for snacks and drinks. Saw this in the store & knew it was perfect! I saw this in my local store and knew it was exactly what I had been looking for to go at the foot of the bed in my guest bedroom. Our house is not very big, so anything that provides extra hidden storage is a huge plus. I kept thinking about it, and when I found it on sale on the web site, I didn't waste any time placing the order! I was a little hesitant to order furniture sight unseen (potential for Murphy's Law), but when I took it out of the box, it was perfect! It is solid, sturdy, rich-looking, and the tufted seat is very firm and stable. "Assembly" amounts to simply screwing on the legs...that's it. Also, when opened partially, the lid holds itself open -- very convenient. I'm very picky and sometimes hard to please, but I'm VERY happy with this purchase - now I want ANOTHER one!!! Love it! This is the second bench I've purchased from Kirkland's. While I was pleased with the first one, it was fabric and through the years has started to show age. Since I have a leather headboard I figured the faux leather bench would be a great look...and I was right, it looks fantastic. The quality of the bench is very good and the padded top has a nice firm foam. April 12, 2013

I was very pleased to see that all I had to do was turn the bench on its side and screw on the legs. The 4 legs were packaged in a separate box that was inside the bench. The rest of the bench was already put together. Took 30 seconds!

I just bought this so I went and measured. The height of the inside stortge space is right at 10 inches. For instance, it could hold a stack of blankets that is 10 inches tall. The bottom surface of the lid is flat, so there is no additional storage space once the lid is closed. As far as the inside depth from the front of the bench to the back, that's 16 inches. Hope this helps!

I don't know for sure, but I can tell you that I weigh 122 pounds and don't seem to make any impact on the bench whatsoever when I sit on it. It's really sturdy with solid legs...my guess would be somewhere between 200-250 lbs.
