Better than the picture! We had been searching for the perfect lamp for reading, we finally found it. It let's both of us sit in our chairs and read. Adds a little sophistication to the room without being too large and overbearing. Great height and plenty of light. The top light was really bright with the bulb that was called for, we swapped for a fluorescent bulb and it is perfect. April 26, 2013

The on/off thumb switch is under the top light. So you have to get up to turn it off and on. And no dimmer switch

No, there is no floor button - it would be a wonderful feature to have, but it has 1 switch that controls all 3 lights.
