French Onion Soup: This soup can be made in a slow cooker the morning of your party. Just dish into bowls and broil cheese toasts the moment before serving.
Roast Chicken: The chicken can be made up to two days ahead. Bring up to room temperature before serving.
Side: French bread is a must with homemade zucchini butter that can be made several days ahead of time. Also, crispy potatoes can be prepped the morning of and tossed in the oven before guests arrive. A simple spinach salad with freshly grated Parmesan cheese can be assembled the morning of and tossed with dressing just before serving.
