You decorate your bedroom, bathroom, and dining room, but here’s one space you’ve probably never considered decorating: the foot of your bed. The foot of the bed is often one of those overlooked spaces, like the space above your doorway or even your laundry room (which by the way, are two super fun places to decorate). The foot of your bed is a powerful place for style and storage, two things you can never have enough of in your bedroom. Check out how we used three different kinds of bedroom furniture to transform the foot of a bed. Which style is your favorite?
1 | Two Chaise Accent Chairs
When you wake up, is your bedroom a place you want to linger or escape? Make it a place you never want to leave with this luxurious look. Place two accent chairs at the end of your bed with a small accent table between them. This makes for a great conversation space, reading area, or coffee nook. (Where’s my French press?!)
2 | Two Storage Ottomans
Ottomans aren’t just for your feet anymore. Use them in groups of twos and threes to create additional seating and storage spaces throughout your home. These upholstered storage ottomans open up to provide a great storage space for shoes, scarves, blankets, purses, or throw pillows.
3 | One Storage Bench
Placing a single storage bench at the end of your bed is a more traditional way to use furniture at the foot of your bed, but pair it with fresh flowers and a serving tray and the result is totally “Breakfast at Tiffany’s!” A single storage bench provides almost three times as much storage space as two ottomans and is just as versatile. Outside of your bedroom, a storage ottoman can easily be converted into a coffee table, kitchen bench, or kids’ room toy chest.
